We had the start of the season last night in San Francisco.

The Yankees scored five runs in the second and that Ryan McMahon two-run single, a part of it,

made it 3-0 at the time.

Trent Grisham then tacked on a two-run triple and the Yankees go on to the easy season opening win.

On the postgame show, Trent Grissom. Grisham was asked about, you know, last year was a career year for you. What did you take from it? How do you kind of continue in that way in 2026? Overall generally, I just thought better day and day out. I've said that and I'll keep saying it and that's about the best way I can put it is just more consistently thinking better.

And if he continues to do that, well maybe he can repeat what he did.

He struggled while Max Fried was really good Webb struggled and he took a lot of the blame.

You take anything from that? I could care less. Oh, I did a bad job. He kind of turned his head. He said, I did a bad job tonight. But that pitch was phenomenal. But he did struggle through his five innings. The line is seven runs on nine hits over the five. That is for Freed, six and a third, two hit ball. He gets win number one. You guys were talking. I think it was towards the end of the last hour about the ABS system and Jose Caballero.
