Uh, the reason I'm laughing is that Otto, my Bull Dog, is prone to storing while I speak.

0:19.0

So should you hear that in the background, you will have a debate, is it because I'm not interesting or Otto just wants to somehow get onto

0:29.0

one of these podcasts, but it is a challenge to speak next to him, but if you ever try to move a Bull Dog, you will understand why they're called Bull Dogs.

0:40.0

Alright, anyway, it's great to be with you. Here's the story about my Fireside chats, which take place virtually every week from my home.

0:49.0

It's completely spontaneous, I just offer you some thoughts, then I take your questions. It's a way to speak to you without any notes, without any...

1:03.0

What else is there that people have? Any advanced, even no makeup. It's just you and me. Alright, anyway, great to be with you.

1:15.0

And I want to talk to you about the Jussie Smollett story. Now, here's a very important thing that you have to know about these podcasts, or broadcasts, or video casts, or Fireside chats.

1:34.0

If I do do an item in the news, the ideas that I extrapolate from them and want to offer to you are unlimited in time.

1:44.0

The event might be specific to the moment, but the ideas transcend the moment. So you could watch this a year from now, and I would hope it would be just as important and relevant as it is, even though we're in a sort of breaking news cycle.

2:01.0

So here's the story. This man, who I frankly had never heard of before, but that doesn't mean anything. I'm just noting it. This man, who is Black and Gay, and a comedian, he said that in Chicago, one night, when it was about 20 below zero, or at least windshield factor, 20 below, or something like that.

2:22.0

He was attacked at 2am, or about that time, by two men, and they were whites who were screaming racist and homophobic slogans at him and beat him.

2:35.0

There were a lot of questions from the beginning, and on my radio show, I'm very, very, very careful about truth. Truth is the most precious thing in some ways that we humans have.

2:48.0

Laws always lead to evil. So it's an ill-reake big lies. I don't mean, you know, if you exaggerate, even though it's not good to exaggerate. But I've been on radio for over 30 years, and I took a vow to myself when I began radio. I won't even exaggerate.

3:07.0

I wanted a name, even among those who differed with me, of, well, you may disagree with everything Prager says, but you will know that to the best of his ability, he checked the facts.

3:21.0

And if I ever get even a fact wrong, I try to announce it immediately, because there are so many people correcting me at any given time.

3:30.0

But nevertheless, at the beginning of this attack, when it became known, it seemed a bit odd to me in many ways. It seemed odd to many people. I was not alone.

3:39.0

And I said, look, I have no idea, obviously, what happened. But there are questions that need to be answered. And it turns out that the two men that allegedly attacked, just see small, were, in fact, people he knew. They were brothers.

3:54.0

They were not only not white, they were black. They were from Nigeria, the West African country. And they flew back to Nigeria right after the alleged attack, which they were paid to, apparently they claim.

4:12.0

And I don't know why they would lie. They, they claim that they were paid to do this $3,500, be given a $500 bonus afterwards. They, the police, apparently have, according to reports, have receipts for a noose, for bleach, for a red hat.

4:31.0

So it seems pretty slam dunk at this time at any rate. Anything could come out, but it seems slam dunk that he made up this attack.

4:41.0

One of the biggest reasons that I, I had reason to believe from the beginning, aside from evidence that seemed a bit contradictory to what he said was that there were so many hoaxes involved in attacks on blacks and, and nooses and swastikas and the like.
