Last year a Vermont High School snowboard coach was fired for stating that boys tend to have an advantage

over girls in sports.

David Block made the comments and an attempt to diffuse a heated argument between two

students about whether it's fair to let trans-identifying male athletes compete against girls.

Well, this month, almost a year later, Vermont school officials have agreed to pay the former coach $75,000 and damages,

acknowledging that he, in fact, did not violate a state-mandated policy that prohibits harassment,

hazing, and bullying.

Regardless, of however a person identifies physical realities mean that boys do have a competitive

advantage over girls in sports.

Pointing to one study, even men who have taken estrogen for two years retained their competitive advantage.

Block's lawyer, Tyson Langhoffer of the Alliance defending freedom,

said that the settlement really isn't about money.

It's about standing up for the right to say what is true.

After all, Langhoffer said, no teacher especially should lose their job

for speaking the truth.
