Why from the guy go out kick studios you may have just heard it in the update but breaking news to start off the morning's Monday edition of the show in the wake of their fifth consecutive loss the Washington Redskins have decided to fire Jay

Gruden so Jay Gruden let go and the redskins will be in the process of trying to find a new coach in the off season.

I don't know what the outcome will be but I can tell you that I can already write a guy who is at the very top of the list that I would think will get a lot of interest from the Washington Redskins and many other NFL teams in this off season.

Lincoln Riley use look at what the redskins have done historically remember they went and got Steve Spurrier and brought him to the NFL years and years and years ago that was a dance night or move I believe I'm not mistaken and thought oh you know this guy Steve Spurrier is going to be a big success in the NFL that obviously fell flat on its face.

But since then college coaches notably Pete Carroll have had a lot more success in the NFL and I would expect the dance night or who has lots of money and not very many wins in a generation of ownership over the Washington Redskins will be thinking I need a coach who can make sense of Dwayne haskins and everything in the modern NFL in terms of the evolution.

Of the the sport and I would think that Lincoln Riley is going to get a big raise either to stay at Oklahoma or go to a place like Washington DC to work for the Redskins and bring his brand of football to the NFL so.

That is the move it is early in October the Redskins are a little bit intriguing at least because in theory tanking and ending up number one or two in the NFL draft doesn't make a lot of sense for them because like we just said they took to Wayne haskins last year.

So in theory they're not going to be in the two competition but but given what we saw with the hiring of Cliff Kingsbury and the decision to move on from Josh Rosen after a year the paradigm might have shifted in the NFL.

On the idea that just because you took a quarterback one year in the first round you can't take a quarterback again the next year in the first round.

Look at what happened with Josh Rosen in the Arizona Cardinals is it possible that if they go out and dance nighter hires a new coach for his NFL team and there is a possibility that to is out there to be had.

Or for to be fair Justin Herbert Jake from whoever may be at the top of the list and I think it's pretty clear that two is going to be the first quarterback off the board in the 2020 draft.

Would the Redskins potentially move on from Dwayne haskins already if their new coach was in love with two and wanted to make that move they could follow the precedent of the Arizona Cardinals but we are just reacting right now to again.
