0:25.2	So, apparently over the weekend, there's been an ongoing dispute between MEDA and the Canadian government going back a while now.
0:34.5	It has to do with the fact that Canada passed a law trying to require Google and
0:38.6	meta to pay local news providers in Canada basically as an apology to the fact that they took
0:44.7	most of the advertising revenue from local news. So we saw this in Australia. We've seen versions of
0:48.8	this attempted in other parts of the world. Canada passed this law saying meta, Google, you basically
0:53.1	took all the ad market from news providers. You should pay them some money. Meta responded by saying, well, no, and we're
1:00.3	going to block news on Instagram and Facebook. Now, until now, Mo News has been a creator page.
1:05.5	Somehow we were reclassified over the weekend to a news page. So our Canadian listeners and community members noted on
1:14.1	Saturday they woke up to find that they couldn't access the main Mo News Instagram page anymore.
1:19.4	Again, out of our hands, guys, it was not our decision. The meta gods and I have put in
1:24.1	notes to some folks in meta, hoping that maybe they can give us a special dispensation,
1:29.7	especially since we're not a Canadian news outlet, we wouldn't be eligible for money for META.
1:33.2	Nonetheless, for those of you who still want to get our main Instagram page, if you use a VPN,
1:39.3	a VPN app, which basically masks your geography, you can just change your location to Boston or New York or Chicago.
