Well we're very excited to have you and I don't know if we've had any guests where I've

written about them so much.

And then had them on the pod but it's very, I'm a little star-struck.

Your testimony was such a sort of watershed moment for a lot of us.

Can you talk to us a little bit about your testimony during the impeachment trial and how

that was?

I have to say I had no idea we'd have that kind of impact.

I mean in the days afterwards I was stunned because you know my main focus was on showing

up, telling the truth, answering all of the questions and you know really trying also at

the same time to get a message across about what a dangerous moment we were in where all

the political parties and ship was really jeopardizing US national security.

And so you know in the moment I wasn't thinking about all of the larger ramifications of this

just making sure that I did the best possible job of answering all of the questions.
