that works. Joining me shortly is Sean Coyne. He is the creator of Story Grid, the author of the

book Story Grid and an editor with over 25 years

experience. In this episode, well, actually about 45 seconds in, I have a really embarrassing

moment. And then we recover from that and we discuss the next sequence in the story, which

ends up finishing up the beginning hook of the story,

which means next week we actually start getting to dive into the middle build.

So this is a really good discussion as we walk through the final sequence of the beginning hook

and really decide, you know, where does that end and where should we move into the middle build?

I'm sure a lot of you deal with these same kind of just decisions of, you know, when do I transition? How far into the

story should I transition? And so I think this is a really great episode as you hear me kind of struggle

through that with Sean. So let's jump in and get started. So Sean, this past week, it was kind of

fun because a lot of the weeks where I have writing to do, you've like freed me up to write one

scene or rewrite one scene. And this, I was planning on it being three. It ended up turning into four

scenes and we can talk about that.

But actually, like, of the last seven days, worked on this fiction book five of the days,

which was just kind of nice to, like, work on it in that big of a chunk at a time.
