Hello, thank you for joining me today for Give Him 15. The title of today's post is

Finish the Assignment. The Lord has been speaking to me about the need to finish this season

well. We are all busy with many responsibilities and activities.

It's easy to allow prayer and other spiritual actions to fall by the wayside,

especially when we become weary.

However, we cannot afford to do that at this time.

One of the passages in scripture that effectively illustrates the dangers of not finishing well is judges one and two.

After Joshua led Israel in conquering Canaan, each tribe was left with the responsibility of cleanup operations

in the portion of land allotted to them as an inheritance, fully driving out the remaining

enemies. Many of them became complacent, did not, did not finish the job.

Here are examples.

This is from Judges 1 19 through 34 excerpts.

Now the Lord was with Judah, and they took possession of the hill country, but they

could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley because they had iron chariots. The sons of

Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites who lived in Jerusalem. Manasseh did not take possession of Beth Sheen and its villages and several other places

it mentions there.

They did not drive them out completely.

Ephraim did not drive out the Canaanites living in Gisier.

Zebulon did not drive out the inhabitants of

Kitron or Nahala. Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of various places. Didn't drive them out.

Naftali did not drive out the inhabitants.

The Amarites forced the sons of Dan into the valley,
