animation news and commentary. I'm Drew's co-host, entertainment writer Jim Hill

and he and I are recording this on Friday January 24th, 2020, which is the day that the very first set of the Disney Short

Circuit films become available for viewing on Disney Plus.

Now Drew, you went over to Walt Disney Animation Studios early this month

and got to sit down with a bunch of the folks who actually made these movies, right?

Yes, yes, it was a great day at, well any day at Walt Disney

animation studios is a great day Jim, but this was, this was really great.

I have to say I envy that you got to see these in the screening room there at Disney because there's at

least a couple of these that I would love to see on the big screen.

Yeah, it was also nice that they were all together they have little I don't know if are there

there a little like filmmaker intros there were they were okay so they showed those

intros and then they just ran the movies so it was really great because you know it was

uninterrupted you couldn't look at your phone you

couldn't you know be distracted by Twitter and it was just a really nice way to see them.

So I'm curious I want to know what your favorites were.

Okay, well we'll get to that on the second half on today's show, but first just let's plow into the news here.

And to start things off, we need to do a shout out to Bill Farmer and his lovely wife Jennifer

yesterday was the 33rd anniversary of Bill being hired by Disney's Character Voice Department to become the official voice of Goofy.

The very first time that Farmer voiced this character was back in 1987.

It was for a holiday special that you can actually watch on YouTube right now Drew.

It's Disney's D TV Doggone Valentine which aired I guess on February 13th of that year and
