I'm Drew's co-host, entertainment writer Jim Hill Hill and this is our fourth show for May 2019.

We are recording this on Friday, May 24th, just before the Memorial Day weekend gets underway, and just just this morning you saw the news about the Sonic movie right?

Yes, I did it was very interesting news and not completely surprising but still somewhat surprising.

Okay, well, for those of you who haven't heard this yet, April 30th, we had the full official trailer drop,

which the internet basically lost its mind over the design of this Sega character that nobody

liked how Sonic looked.

Two days later, three days later, Jeff Fowler, the director of Sonic, takes the Twitter and puts out a message to the effect of,

we hear you loud and clear, we're changing the look of Sonic,

going to make the movie version more in line with what you know and love from the sake of game and

Paramount's out there assuring exhibitors that the movie is still going to be able to

make its previously announced November 8th release date and you were more concerned about the containerships filled with

Sonic plush that were already on their way to America?

Yeah, I wonder if they're going to try to redesign all that stuff now.

Yeah, but Sonic, with its November 8th release date,

was already in a very, very tough spot box office wise.
