this week's show on Friday, August 4th, 2023, and Drew, you were the one who suggested this,

as we were putting together a 10-night show, but folks, we lost a giant this week. And again,

it's kind of ironic to use the word giant since most of us know this guy simply as Pewy.

But Paul Rubens, the very talented veteran of the groundlings, in fact his Pewy Herman character,

was birthed at that improv comedy troupe. Passed away this past Sunday, July 30th at the age of 70,

after a six-year battle with cancer and Drew, I saw what you tweeted out on Sunday and at Monday,

and obviously this is a guy who meant a lot to you when you were growing up, right?

Yeah, and continued to mean a lot. I mean, I saw, I don't know if you saw his Broadway show when

that came back, but you know, I missed it in both L.A.

Get killing me. Well, the thing, do you have you ever seen, and I want to say it was for show time,

they taped the this and this was ahead of the Pewy Saturday morning show, but they taped the

groundling show. For example, it's Phil Hartman. I mean, again, a fellow groundling member as Captain

Carmel. Yeah. And I mean, it's wonderful. And that's the thing.

Correct me if it's wrong. It started in L.A. and then moved to Broadway. And what was that? 2003, 2004?

Somewhere around there. It might have been a little later, actually. Yeah. But it was, they recorded

it for I think HBO, but it was just the best. It was just so great. 2011, Jim. So, 2011, my mistake.

Yeah, it's just it was wonderful. It was absolutely wonderful. And we'll talk about Paul later in
