0:29.1	They are tonight for those that care. I am not in that camp so I will be yeah.
0:38.3	Well look all right I think as far as back as Pia Zadora and Butterfly, there's always been a question about the golden
0:46.1	gloves. What was it? Starting in the 90s and sort of leading into the 2000s, they became sort of the pre-game show for the Oscars, kind of sort of, right?
0:57.0	Sort of, Jim, but they are also so wildly off base. I mean, part this is the long standing history with corruption and being bought by studios and stars.
1:09.3	But you know they gave Madonna the Oscar for Avita Jim. I mean this is this is not exactly the bellwether test
1:17.4	Some think that it is for the Oscars. Yeah. Well, you know the interesting, everybody was willing to turn a blind-eyed
1:24.5	in this sort of stuff to what, 2021 when that report came out that the Hollywood
1:30.4	foreign press association, the voting body for the Golden Globes, didn't have a single black member.
1:36.7	And things kind of collapsed after that, right?
1:41.0	The studios and stars boycotted the 2022 and then I want to say in 2023 NBC broke off its 30-year relationship with the Globes.
1:57.0	And so this time around CBS is broadcasting them and they're being streamed internationally by Paramount Plus.
2:05.8	You know, that said, it is worth noting that there are still those who sort of look to the
2:11.1	globes as sort of a hint to where the award season is going to go.
2:15.0	And so in that spirit, it's worth noting that the best motion picture animated,
2:21.0	the nominees for the globes tonight are Hiao Miyasaki's
