I'm Drew's co-host, entertainment writer Jim Hill, and Mr. Taylor and I are recording this show on Thursday, August 15th, 2019, which is two days after Angry Birds 2 opened

in theaters on a Tuesday, Drew.

I'm trying to remember the last time something opens in a theater on a Tuesday.

Yeah, that's kind of an interesting move. It changed its release date so last minute too.

Do you remember that? It was like two or three weeks ago they were

like oh we're we're opening two days early so I don't know if that's sort of to

capitalize on the like last minute school holidays or what?

But yeah, it's pretty interesting.

I don't know what to tell you.

I mean, I know that kids are going back to school in Florida.

In fact, I think they went back to work last week or they were out.

So, but it seemed to have done well. I mean, opening day pulled in 2.6 million worth of

tickets here in North America. If you go over to Rotten Tomatoes it's got a 73%

freshness rating which is a significant improvement over the first Angry Birds movie

which came out May 2016 and only managed to get a 44.

Do you get to see it?

No, I haven't seen it yet.

I never saw the first movie, but this is kind of,

the response to this one has kind of peaked my interest to watching the first one did you see it?

Yeah, I mean the interesting thing is that Josh Gad did a voice for it and so I got to interview him out ahead of that and this was back when

Josh was getting ready to do his Sam Kennison movie which I really wish he had gone forward with.
