voyescape.com. Welcome to Freakimilers Coffee Break, where we focus on a single topic related to

0:15.6

miles and points. And each coffee break is limited to 20 minutes or less or your money back.

0:23.0

Today's coffee break.

0:24.4

Fine hotels and resorts versus the edit.

0:27.2

These are both hotel programs offered by American Express and Chase.

0:32.2

And there's a lot of similarities between them.

0:35.3

They both offer luxury perks like usually free breakfast, a room upgrade and other things.

0:43.8

But there are also big differences between them.

0:47.2

So today we're going to talk at a high level about what are the differences sort of on paper.

0:52.2

And we're going to dive into an experience I had recently

0:54.5

where I had, I used both types of programs at one hotel back to back. And so I can talk about

1:17.7

edit offer breakfast, but not all properties apparently do, or at least it's not listed with some

1:23.0

properties, whereas Emmix always lists daily breakfast for two. Now, there are some places like in Las Vegas

1:28.2

where that'll be provided as a dining credit because there's a lot of restaurants at those

1:32.2

resorts. But nonetheless, daily breakfast for two is one of the guaranteed benefits of fine hotels

1:37.7

and resorts. Speaking of guaranteed benefits, the other big one for me is a 4 p.m. late checkout.

1:42.6

That's guaranteed with Ammex Fine Hot fine hotels and resorts and that can be

1:46.4

really beneficial because there are times even like for instance as a hyatt globalist i get 4 p.m. checkout
