Well, it's getting dark out.

You might say night has fallen on the desert.

And I want to talk with you for just a moment here about the subject of intuition desert intuition in this case

this is one of those intuitions that you always go with and there's no penalty if you're

mistaken when I'm walking in the desert mountains, I do fairly often.

I get that feeling sometimes early in the morning and at dusk.

The times of the day when the one real predator I occasionally worry about is very active.

I'm talking about is very active. I'm talking about mountain lions.

Now, I've only ever seen a couple of them in the wild, in the flesh.

They are a rare sight and when you say something like that

there are always a couple of people either bragging about how they see mountain lions every time

they open their eyes or they're going to chime in with something like, actually, the most

active time for a mountain lion is nautical twilight, etc.

And that, friends, is why I prefer to live very far away from other people so imagine you're out here

out here in one of these places where i like to walk alone with nobody else.

And you get that feeling, that eerie intuition.

Somebody or something or something or other is watching you.

Hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail will wrap a towel around the back of their neck.

Just walk around with a towel around their neck, like a prize fighter.

They are the prize, or so they imagine.

Mountain lines don't often bother people.
