Summary
It's kind of magical how one thread of an idea can carry through so many different projects in so many different ways. And for Kellee Wynne Conrad that has been colour (or color!)
With a Virtual Art Summit coming in June 2021 listen how this single focus has lead her through creating courses, memberships and a book deal. Having this focus has helped Kellee through what she calls 'the curse of all artists' and maintain a core vision for what she creates.
We talk about circling back on your own creative journey and how collaborations with other artists can propel you... in fact it was promising to record a lesson for Kellee which was the first (and so far only!) online workshop Alice has created.
The upcoming Virtual Art Summit 2021 will include lessons from both Alice and Louise, and offer you live conversations with all artists taking part as well as lessons you can re-watch anytime you need some colour inspiration so do sign up to take part.

| 0:36.0 | Hello Kelly Wynne Conrad. |
| 0:38.0 | Hello Alice I'm so excited to be here. |
| 0:42.0 | Do you remember when we first met online? |
| 0:45.0 | Well, I know it was before either of you, |
| 0:48.0 | you or I had our own art business. |
| 0:51.0 | I mean, we were painters and selling our art but we were teaching online yet. |
| 0:56.1 | So this is a while. It has been a while so this is one of those relationships that you can't quite figure out |
| 1:01.6 | where it began and people grow with you and this is I just thought that this was a perfect opportunity to introduce Kelly to those of you who don't know her and I know a lot of you do because you've been part of her courses we've been part of her membership but I think the reason that I first was drawn to you was your kind of obsessive love of color which I think many of us share so we're going to talk about that a little bit later but first of all tell me how has your week been what have you been working on? Well I am |
| 1:39.2 | currently trying to overhaul my art studio because it's a disaster and I really can't get in and make any art right now. |
| 1:47.0 | You know how it is as a creative, one project after another and you're just rushing through it until suddenly it's like something exploded and so I'm trying to work through a massive overhaul and my big goal is to get rid of at least 25% of what's in my studio. So do you have a time scale when you do that? |
| 2:05.4 | Do you tend to do that once a year or just when it needs it? |
| 2:08.2 | Yeah, about, I think I would say about once a year that I do it. |
| 2:12.2 | It needs an overhaul. I like clean regularly because I need to start fresh every time I start a new project. |
| 2:18.0 | So I'm really excited to get back into painting right now. I'm kind of interested in doing some landscapes for a little while and I'm working on seascapes for the re-release of another course. This is the year of finishing so my whole goal has been finishing all my courses, all my projects, and just kind of tying up all those loose ends and making everything flow nicely, which is not easy to do when you have a creative brain and your brain kind of always wants to take detours, but this is the year my goal is finishing. So finishing cleaning my studio, finishing working on some of the art projects that have just kind of been piling up and seeing where that takes me next before I start anything new. |
| 2:59.0 | A little bit of real life trash clearing doesn't do anybody any harm does it? |
| 3:04.4 | No kidding it just feels like such a weight is lifted and I don't even mind throwing out |
