I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson.

On the Humday edition of the yard, it's going to be a difficult episode to say the least.

We might laugh a little bit, we might cry a little bit.

We'll see.

We're just going to let it go.

There are a few things I want to talk about before we really get started and all that. We have seen the absolute

best of people in the last three days. The absolute best of people. You know, sometimes I think

social media is the bane of my existence. There are so many people out there that, you know, because they have anonymity, they think they can say whatever they want to. And a lot of people say, hey, Steve, you should support that. Well, I don't. I don't because a lot of people are cowards. They don't use their real names. They don't put their own picture up there. And so, well, you know, see, people want anonymity. Well, I mean, what is it you're saying that you're so ashamed of? There's no character in any of that. I know many people use an alias to avoid the cancel culture that is a big part of our society these days. But it's one thing to protect yourself.

It's another thing to hide your identity and then spew vitriol and bitterness and other people.

But we have seen the best of social media these last three days.

Since the news broke that Mike Leach was gravely ill and ultimately passed away,

the outpouring of support is unprecedented.

I have never seen anything like it ever in my life.

And not just people, you know, supporting me,

but people supporting you in Mississippi State and Mike Leach family. It has been a very beautiful

thing to see. And for all of you that have messaged me offering your support, thank you

from the bottom of my heart. I absolutely appreciate it. I am quick to deflect a lot of that

support to the Leach family and to the coaches and people, you know, closely connected with him.

Yes, he was my friend. And as I share with you guys on the last show, I'll be honest with you,

I lost objectivity when it came to Mike Leach because he's Mike Leach.

Who wouldn't want to be friends with Mike Leach?
