We have a guest here is one of my, man, like my dearest preaching buddies that I've gotten, man, in my whole life. We've known each other for, I don't know,

decade or something. Yeah, a long time. We've hunted together. We've trained to pastors together. We've preached together. My dear friend and yours, the good doctor, pastor, Matt

Carter. Welcome back. Man, it's good to be here. I was telling, got to preach tonight and was telling the church,

and I meant it. Like, I think you guys might be not only my favorite church in the country,

but y'all might be the best, man. Like, there's something so sweet and special happening here.

If, I guess they're listening to this they know about you but

man i just want to shout it from the rooftops man guys moving in your church brother bro i'm

i appreciate everybody putting up with me and i'm glad i get to be a part of it if pastor joby

was competitive he might like that compliment but he he's pretty late back about that kind of

stuff.

It's not a contest, but we're winning.

Dude, I remember back in the day, so for those of you that don't know, maybe you weren't

a Christian 10 years ago, Carter founded the Austin Stone, and it took off like a rocket ship

in Austin, Texas, and good Lord, those people need Jesus. And so, I mean, broke all the norms and, you know, we all knew about it. And I go to a conference where Act 29 is like courting us. I didn't know that's what was happening, but that's what was happening. And so we're checking it out, and G and I are sitting in the back row we don't know anybody

and uh I saw that you were preaching and had heard of you and listened to you and you talked

about marriage and first of all Gretchen loved it and she loved Act 29 because of it you know

like at a church planning conference that it's been a significant portion of it talking about marriage which is really smart because if you, you know, like at a church planning conference, so it's been a significant
