Summary

1:09.0	But right now let's join Pastor JD in Hebrews 12. He titled this message Finding the Unshakable City.
1:18.0	Searching for a city. Searching for a kingdom. That's the image that the writer has used throughout
1:23.0	Hebrews especially in these final chapters. It's a metaphor that he is using for what we are all
1:29.2	doing with our lives. Where are we searching for a place of permanence, peace, prosperity,
1:34.8	fulfillment. So what he does is he does three things with that in the last chapter. Three things,
1:40.1	three things with that image. The first thing he does is he asks you to consider what your city is
1:46.8	and whether or not it is shakeable. Then he shows you secondly the results of Jesus being your city
1:54.4	and then thirdly he warns you about some small things that can totally destroy your city.
1:59.8	So here we go number one. What is your city and is it shakeable? What is your primary source,
2:05.7	in other words, of permanence, security and peace? The invitation of Hebrews is to make God your
2:13.6	primary source of these things. So to that end he gives you two warnings. The first one is in
2:19.1	verse 26. Look at this. Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.
