My friend, have you ever thought that there is just one door or two doors in front of you when it comes to possibility, opportunity, where you can go from here?

Often we do this, we think that there's one job, right? Or there's one person that we're

romantically capable of getting involved with. There is just one opportunity before us. And instead of seeing a plethora of options and opportunities, we just see one, maybe two, and if we don't get one or two, then it's simply a no. There are no doors or options left. That is simply not how the universe works, my friend, okay? There are thousands of doors. There are more doors than you can actually even possibly contemplate.

There are doors that are invisible everywhere and we lose sight of them. We can't tap into them when we're so hyper-focused on things going our way with that job, that person, that one opportunity.

I want to share with you a quick story that highlights this.

A few years ago when my husband and I were both in our corporate jobs,

he was looking to switch banks.

He worked at a bank at the time,

and he had a very clear idea of a specific bank that he wanted to go to.

A friend of mine, her husband worked there, he was looking to hook him up and connect him.

And look, that was a great plan.

That's one door. And he got kind of attached to the idea of working at this one bank, which is what we do with human beings, right? We're like, that's the person for me, that's the career for me, that's where I want to go. And he was pursuing this position, it was kind of going slowly, we were kind of

of met with resistance, it seemed along that path. And then one weekend we actually came down to Miami, which is now where we live.

And we were here just for fun.

I actually used to cover Miami in the corporate job that I used to have.

I used to cover the southeast of America. And he came to join me for a fun

Miami weekend in the sun. And he arrived lateish one Friday night, and as he arrived he said,

look, I want to just take a shower and you know get

ready in my own time so I said look I'll let you do you and I'm going to just go up to the

bar and have a drink and wait for you there. So as I was sitting at that bar, I noticed a gentleman next to me ordered a really interesting dish.

It was some type of meat or fish in a bag.
