Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I am blessed to be gathered tonight with team number two, chirped team two from St Michael.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, but we're all gathering our

rosaries together for the thousands of names that have been submitted, names of loved ones that were all praying,

but not only praying, but also offering our sacrifices, our sufferings, our personal crosses for the conversion of all those on our prayer

list.

So you can hit pause if your list is long like my own.

So as we begin, I want to give a shout out for Ava

and to encourage her to pray the Rosary every day and to invite her friends to do so as well.

In the constant adrenaline pumping rush of closing out the year and preparing for Christmas, you may be drowning in noise.

So let's talk about silence.

In the Gospel of today, the angel Gabriel comes to Zechariah and tells him that he will have a son and name him John.

Zechariah then asked the angel, how can I be sure of this?

Because I'm an angel, you squid.

Shut the front door!

The angel replied,

I am Gabriel who stands in God's presence and I have been sent to speak to you and bring you this good news.

Listen.

Since you have not believed in my words which will come true at their appointed time, you will be silenced and have no power of speech until this has happened.

Gabriel strikes Zachariah not only speechless but happened. They make signs to him to ask him what name to give the baby.
