It doesn't matter where I am if I'm in a busy airport.

I'm sitting alone in my car, driving across New Mexico, going all the way across the country.

When his music hits my ears, it stops me dead in my tracks.

And I become nostalgic.

I think about my spiritual awakening because his music carried me through my cocoon phase, my phase of having no friends, no family, no nothing, just me alone, going through so many difficult things that were ripping me open to be my authentic self,

to be in touch with my spirituality.

East Forest is our special guest today on the show.

His name is Trevor Oswald, and he is East Forest.

He creates some of the most peaceful, beautiful, spiritual music that really can't even be put,

that can't be defined.

It can't be put in a box.

As Trevor says on the show, he is connecting the digital world with nature.

He goes out and records crickets, records water, records footsteps, just things in nature,

wind blowing through the trees and wind chimes, and adds it to digital music.

You know, as soon as I hear four senses, that's my all-time favorite song by him.

And it's interesting, as we'll hear him say on the show, he recorded his grandmother for this song,

which even, which just makes the music that much more personable and powerful and

healing. As soon as any note from his music hits my ears, I immediately think of taking on a rain

covered runway during an overcast cold day in the Midwest. I think of driving my car

through the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. I think of walking on the Carolina beach at sunrise.
