Good morning everyone, and welcome back to the Messy masterpiece podcast with Chad and

Tori. Happy Saturday. Happy weekend. Happy weekend to the weekend warriors, and we have

a few, few little updates before we jump into today's devotional. Number one, we're not

doing the long-form episode today, but we're aiming at doing one tomorrow. And the reason

for that is because Tori and I just posted our patron Q&A. Today we actually have a patron

Bible study, and we're also posting a YouTube video on how to deal with toxic people. And

so we have a lot of content coming at you right now. And so we are hoping to get that long

from out to you, either Sunday or early next week. So thanks for your patience on that.

We do think it's going to be fun to build off of that, how to deal with toxic people's

theories, because Tori posted a little question box, and there's like a thousand questions

over there. So we are excited to build upon that. But today we are starting day one of a,

how many days is it six days of a six day Bible app devotional called hope in the suffering.

There was a link in the description of this podcast. If you want to download it and

follow along with us, but I'm going to read the scripture and then Tori is going to read

the devotional. The scripture is Romans five versus three through five. And I'm reading

from the N L T and it says, we can rejoice to when we run into problems and trials for

we know that they help us develop endurance and endurance develops strength of character

and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead

to disappointment for we know how dearly God loves us because he has given us the Holy

Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

It's one of my favorite verses. And the devotional says, to say that the entire world is suffering

right now is not an understatement. Hundreds of thousands have been affected in various ways
