0:25.9	with an unexpected pregnancy. Today on Focus on the Family with Jim Daly, we'll have a really
0:31.2	honest conversation about surprise children. Thanks for joining us. I'm John Fuller.
0:36.9	John, there's about six million pregnancies each year.
0:41.2	They keep this data and somehow about half, 45%, almost three million, are classified as
0:47.5	unplanned. And I never knew that. I mean, about half of the pregnancies are. That was my story.
0:53.3	My mom had me at 42.
0:55.0	I was the oops baby.
0:56.3	Always introduced, I can remember being four or five years old and my mom saying this is my
1:00.3	oops child.
1:01.1	I didn't know why that was special, but sometimes it was a little, ah, what does that mean?
1:06.2	But it does mean that.
1:07.4	This is an accidental pregnancy, one that was unplanned. This wasn't what we were
1:12.2	thinking at the end of our child rearing years. And so often on the broadcasts, we're talking about
1:17.7	teen moms and what they go through, the decisions they have to make, hopefully in a pro-life
1:22.4	context, and hopefully parents can help those children make those better choices, etc.
1:28.3	But we often hear from people who have struggled at the latter end of their childbearing years.
1:34.5	And they've asked us, could you cover this sometime?
