Happy Thursday. Why don't you stop saying that? Because I normally say it on Friday. Oh every day when you spend every yay with the Lord.

Just like our listeners do. Just a yearly podcast. Okay. I'm done. Anyways, we're a YouTube video going live today. It's husband answers those questions just like her video that she did on Tuesday. A lot of fun. Excited for you guys to see that.

I think tour and I need it and I hopefully you all will be blessed by it too. We're picking up on day one. There's a link to that description of this podcast. I'm going to read the scripture and then Tori's going to read the Divo.

The scripture is Matthew 11 versus 28 through 30. Then Jesus said, come to me. All of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens. And I will give you rest.

1:14.0

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart. And you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear. And the burden I give you is light.

I love that verse. The devotional says, don't let stress run your life. Stress is a struggle all too real for most of us, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Now let's get things straight. There's no magic formula to erase stress forever. Stress is an emotional sometimes panicked response to situation your brain views as threatening.

2:05.0

And that can actually be a good thing because it can keep you from danger, motivate you to make a better decision or help you make a necessary change.

But when stress starts to take the reins on our lives, that's when we've got a problem. So maybe the question isn't how to stop stressing out. Ask a better question.

2:24.0

How can we reframe the way we interpret and deal with stress? Here are three things to help guide your reaction to stress.

2:34.0

One, don't let stress run your life. Allow healthy stress to guide your decisions, but don't allow stress to cloud your judgment. Ask God to give you clarity about whether your stress is causing you to miss out on opportunities he is giving you.

2:51.0

Two, release control. Nothing feeds stress like control. Jesus offers us freedom from heavy burdens, but here's the catch we've got to come to him. Go before God and lay your stress down.

3:09.0

The cost is control, but the reward is freedom, peace and rest. I love that.

3:18.0

Three, ask for wisdom. Ask God if there's anything this stress can teach you about the way you've been operating lately.

3:27.0

Are there areas of your life you need to stop handling on your own? Have you over committed yourself?

3:34.0

Ask God to gently correct you, guide you and redirect you to the heart of your stress. Then ask him to replace your stress with his strength.

3:47.0

I love that. There's actually some questions to talk it over at the very bottom of this devotional, but I just want to hop in here and start talking about it a little bit.

3:56.0

I remember whenever I was at my mastermind group in Colorado, one of the first questions they asked us was how does what you're experiencing with your business right now reflect your spiritual walk.

4:09.0

And I was like, wow, because I'm so stressed, like career wise, it's reflecting into my spiritual walk. It's almost like if you and I'm not trying to just throw shade at people, but if you have a messy room, sometimes you tend to have like a messy lifestyle.
