They seem to have it all together.

I mean, the kids are cute.

They're always smiling.

You never hear conflict.

I mean, nobody goes on social media and says yeah I just

yelled at my kids for the stupidest thing I feel awful. Well maybe somebody does but

very few of us go there and there's this kind of level of perfection that all of us want to

attain as moms or dads but it's impossible and we're going to hear from

author and speaker Jeannie Kunya now she She has a lot to say about not comparing yourself

to those social media experts.

Here's a conversation she had with Focus President Jim Daly

and me about being enough for your kids even when you don't always

get things right.

You have Pinterest, you've got social media, here's my kids six birthday party, isn't it

perfect? I mean that's what you're trying to project what

does it look like practically speaking to be weak as a parent what does that look

like is it messy or? It's so messy.

And what emotionally how do we move to a comfortableness with that when everybody else around

us, including our Christian friends, are really the Pinterest parent.

It's everything perfect. My kids's the quarterback, you know, my daughter plays the flute at three.
