1:19.9

That is true. Finding Family is the topic. Matt McConkey, he is a comedian and a writer. And he sent me this topic.

2:03.3

And I say to myself, Finding Family, you know, where did they go? Yes, exactly. I'm actually a big proponent of losing family. Is I right? I never, I ever, all of my family members, I'm like, I need to get to somewhere where you don't know who, well, now that you say that, I think about my family, it's very easy to find them because they're all in Pittsburgh, because I'm the only black sheep that left, you know what I mean? They're not even all in Pittsburgh, right? They're all the same, no, but they're in the same suburb yeah they all they're a smaller place than pittsburg in the same 10-mile radius and frankly i'm very jealous so there you have it every sunday pretty much they still get together that is frightening to me because you don't like your family well you don't have a lot of family Well, you obviously aren't enjoying the get-togeth get together as you'd still live in Pittsburgh too. I mean, don't look at me like I'm some kind of freak. Honest, you make me laugh. Let me just say something. Why you're sitting over here, drinking Coors light, smoking the medical marijuana while you go down to the beach and feel superior to the rest of the country. I think if you say medical before marijuana, it sounds so much like classier. You know what I mean? It does sound classier. Yeah, and more legal. Yes, yes. You know what really sounds classy medical heroin? You go to Amsterdam. I think they provide that. We just had our kitty get fixed. We had to give her, we had to give her kitty morphine. Really? To keep her calm so she wouldn't eat her own stitches. Oh my gosh. I had my cat spayed and she didn't do any of that. Well, your cat's not as energetic as our cat. All right. So here's the topic tonight. It's called Finding Family. And so Matt McConkey throws this theme out and I'm'm thinking to myself, finding family, what's all that about? And I think to myself, you know, Honest, as a child, I had two Aunt Ruthies and to distinguish them from one another. My brothers and sisters called one of them Aunt Ruthie in Butler. And for a long time, I thought Butler was their last name. Like I thought her name was Ruthie Butler.

3:08.6

But it turns out their last name was Schaftner. They just lived in Butler, which, by the way, was where I was born, Butler P.A. Right, right. And by the way, Butler is a much better last name than Schaffner. Exactly. So we spent long Sunday afternoons at my cousin's house because they had a bunch of kids too. And anyway, eventually about seven years ago, my Aunt Ruth passed away.

3:26.5

And then my Uncle Jean passed away. day afternoons at my cousin's house because they had a bunch of kids too and anyway eventually about

3:24.4

seven years ago my aunt ruth passed away and then my uncle jean passed away just one year after that okay

3:30.3

now after uncle jean dies turns out he has another child from an affair he'd had years before
