Hey everybody, welcome back to another episode of the Catholic Talk Show.

0:03.5

Today we're going to be looking at where Catholic Church teaching is in the Bible.

0:07.9

That's right. A lot of non-Catholics and Protestants will say that the Catholic Church follows things that are unbiblical.

0:12.8

But we're going to take these key teachings and show exactly where you can find them in Scripture and how the Catholic Church is a very much biblically based faith.

0:22.3

So if you want to find out where the Catholic Church came up with all these great ideas, it's right here. All right. We're going to

0:29.5

be going over a lot of topics today. This is so key. I'm so glad we're doing this because this comes up a lot.

0:36.3

Yeah, especially where we live in the South. Absolutely. You know, and I think it's not a bad inclination for Protestants to say,

0:42.7

look, where is that in the Bible? I think that's a good question. I think that's a fundamentally

the Bible in the, you know, vernacular language.

1:09.0

And, oh, the Catholic Church kept the Bible chained to the pulpit so that, you know, theacular language. And the Catholic Church kept the Bible chained to the

1:11.7

pulpit so that, you know, the poor lady couldn't really learn that the Pope, you know, all this

1:16.2

stuff, right? But it's not true. We, I mean, in the Catholic Church, we read scripture every

1:23.0

time we go to mass, three, four times, right? It's so integral to everything that the Catholic Church

1:29.1

does and teach is scripture. So we want to kind of show that and show that, look, the faith can

1:34.3

stand up to a scriptural cross-examination, that we do follow strictly biblical practices, and that

1:42.3

the church, you know, a lot of times people say that we are a religion

1:45.5

of the book. I don't agree with that. I think we are a religion that has a book about it, right?
