It's good to be here.

Looking forward to talking about Go and how it sort of transformed my career, almost by self, completely unexpected, really, when I first started learning this language.

Yeah, I'm really interested in hearing that story and how you got there.

But before we go back into the time machine, just give everybody the one to two minute kind of

background on what you're doing today like where are you right now yeah so today I'm I

have my own company a small company that I set up and started doing business in 2019 completely, if you like,

independently of employment.

Through that, I'm offering enterprise support for project called OpenFAS.

Something started now about five years ago.

Originally, I wanted a way of being able to run

serverless functions with containers with Git as a source of truth and all of the

kind of things we come to know if we look at something like the CNCF landscape and

it wasn't really possible at the time you're heavily locked into one of the

particular cloud providers it was difficult to move

between them and so i started that project it's now got over 28 000 GitHub stars but most importantly

dozens and dozens of end users in production companies big and small and so that that's what
