Welcome to the money guy show, it's great to be back, this Monday, it is April 28, 2008,

and I'm so glad you came to join us today, and what we're going to be talking about today

is how to pick a planner, a financial planner, investment manager out of the sea of snakes

that are out there, and I know that sounds like probably a harsh thing to say, but as many

of you have probably found out if you've ever shopped or looked or tried to research and

done due diligence on hiring an investment manager or a financial planner, it can almost

feel like buying a new car or a used car, it's just not, it can be a pleasant experience

but it also can be kind of overwhelming to try to figure out what in the world is

the right direction, you know, and how important is this decision.

So that's what we're going to be focusing on today, I'm your host, Brian Preston, I'm

a certified public accountant, a certified financial planner, and I'm also a fee-only wealth

manager that does this as a hobby, this is not my full-time job, I'm not a radio personality,

full-time or a broadcaster where that's where I'm all my income, this is actually not

a primary source of income whatsoever, it's more of just a hobby of passion that has

kind of taken off through the grassroots support of all my listeners who have written

great reviews out there for Alan iTunes as well as other blog sites and elsewhere, and

that's what's gotten us enough attention that we've grown to the size that you've probably

found us out there.
