Dr. Berg discussed a simple test to know if you are dehydrated or not. Sodium is the most of the driving force of what maintains or what determines the volume fluid of the body or the extracellular fluid volume. Too much sodium in the body is called edema or swelling. The simple test to know if you are low is sodium is by pinching the skin for a couple of seconds and look at how fast it comes back to normal or measuring the skin turgor. The longer it takes to come back the more dehydrated you are.
