Do you ever find yourself looking around and wishing you had more in life?

Or maybe wishing you were different or circumstances of your life were different?

I think it's a really common human experience.

And the Apostle Paul, who was also a common man just like me or you, I think it's a really common human experience.

And the Apostle Paul, who was also a common man just like me or you, talks about it.

In Philippians chapter 4, verses 12 to 13, he says,

I have experienced times of need and times of abundance.

In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of contentment. I am able to do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Do you know that God wants

you to be content? God wants you to live a life full of contentment. Pray this prayer along

with me to say, Jesus, I receive the contentment that comes from you. Now pray a version of that in your own words.

Now we're going to take a moment to use our God-given imagination. God gave us our imagination to use as a tool

to see the abundant life that God has in store for us. So right now use that imagination and picture

what a life of contentment would look like, or more specifically,

what your life would look like, full of contentment, that you would acknowledge and you would

know that what you have is enough. You would be at peace knowing that who you are is enough, your personality, your brain, the way you look. It is enough.

Imagining looking through Instagram or walking the streets of your city and seeing people who have things that maybe you don't have and just being happy for them.

Now continue imagining what a life of contentment would look like for you. Now take a moment to have an honest conversation with God.

What do you need from Him to become more content.

God doesn't ask us to be content on our own.

He is with us.

He wants to give us the strength to walk this out.

Talk to God about what you need from Him. And Paul declared in the verse that we read, he discovered the secret to being content,
