How does Jehovah respond when we face situations that make us feel sad?

Imagine a heartbroken child, weeping uncontrollably.

Perhaps his family is moving to a new home, and this means that he has to leave his

friends behind. Or maybe he is devastated about a mistake he made. In such moments, what would a loving

mother do? She would gently embrace her child, listen to his tearful concerns, and assure him of her love.

In the Bible, Jehovah compares himself to a caring and loving mother who comforts her child.

He says, As a mother comforts her son, so I will keep comforting you. Isaiah 66.13.

Jehovah's love for us is greater than that of any parent. Through his word the Bible,

Jehovah provides us with the comfort and strength we need when we are downhearted or are in distress.
