Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm continuing the series talking about financial stewardship and I'm giving away this book that I've written.

It's 168 page book on financial stewardship and it's our gift to you.

I'm doing this specifically because there's so much religious criticism of a minister talking about money.

You just nearly always think you're doing it because I want you to send me all your money.

So let me turn back over to Matthew chapter 6. Jesus here had been teaching on prayer and then he talked about fasting and make sure that you don't fast to be seen a man otherwise it doesn't do you any good in your relationship with God.

And then in Matthew chapter 6 and verse 19 it says lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

You know this is a powerful these are powerful statements right here because a lot of people think how do you lay up treasures in heaven.

This is what I was teaching all last week where the Lord said you give you use your money to touch people's lives so that when you enter into eternity they will be there to welcome you.

You can take money which is temporary and it's going to pass away and you can turn it into something eternal by giving and touching people's lives and there's many ways you can do that but giving to the gospel and sharing the gospel with people and having people's lives change that way that's one of the greatest ways that you can affect other people that's an eternal difference.

And so this is saying that you don't need to just store up money here on earth you need to think about heaven because someday this earth and everything that you've got here it's all going to be gone.

It's only what you invest in the future that is going to benefit you throughout all eternity.
