Today I'm continuing a series I just started yesterday talking about financial stewardship.

And I gave a lot of introduction. I countered so much negative things that people think about a minister ministering on finances.

They think just automatically that you're just after people's money.

There's no way you can say I'm doing this just so I can get your money. I'm teaching on this because it's the truth and the truth will set you free.

And there's so many Christians that are bound in this area of finances. They think that somehow or another it's ungodly to have money.

And yet you look at Abraham. Abraham was so rich that an entire city had to come and tell him to leave. He's bigger than them.

But you know, I'm facing some of that right here where I am. I'm actually, I got people in the city saying that they want a DNA access that they just can't support everything we're doing.

And so anyway, Abraham was rich. Isaac was rich. He sold in a year of famine and reached a hundredfold return because he believed God and God prospered him.

Jacob was rich and only on you could go Solomon and so many people David. There is nothing wrong with money. The love of money is the root of all evil.

And there are people who love money that don't have very much of it. So it's the heart attitude towards money.

And what I was trying to do yesterday, I started in this parable in Luke chapter 16 and I just read the first verse of this parable.

And it's about a man who is a steward. And I never even got beyond that. And let me just amplify on this and then I'll try to go further here today.

But I think that the key to having the right attitude towards money is when you recognize you are a steward. What that means is that if you are a steward of another person's finances, that means they aren't yours.

You are working for them. You follow their instructions and you are accountable to them for how you handle the money.

Now if everybody saw themselves as a steward of God's riches, that God is the one who, you know, it says over in Deuteronomy chapter 8 verse 18.

But you shall remember the Lord your God for it is he that gives you power to get wealth. God does not give you wealth.
