Lawrence Sprung was born and raised in The Bronx of New York City, New York. He enjoyed playing sports growing up. His mom was diagnosed with cancer when he was a teenager. It shaped his priorities as a youngster. He learned a lot playing hockey, his favorite sport growing up. He decided to attend a state university near home in case he needed to get home at any time. My dad was a New York City school teacher and I was born around the corner from the school that he actually went to high school with and taught at and we were there for a short period of time in the move north of the city to Rockland County, which is just north of New York City. |
