Summary

Lawrence Sprung was born and raised in The Bronx of New York City, New York. He enjoyed playing sports growing up. His mom was diagnosed with cancer when he was a teenager. It shaped his priorities as a youngster. He learned a lot playing hockey, his favorite sport growing up. He decided to attend a state university near home in case he needed to get home at any time. He started as a premed major inspired by a pediatrician that cared for him growing up, He later discovered that he was passionate about becoming a financial advisor and help people accomplish their goals financially. More about Lawrence: “I am a husband, father, entrepreneur, author, and mental health advocate.
I founded Mitlin Financial, Inc., in 2004 with a focus on prioritizing the families we serve.

The Mitlin team consistently helps those families make healthy financial decisions and offers an exceptional experience that leverages personalized service with today’s top tools and technology. We strive to help you achieve your goals while finding JOY in the journey!”

“Today, I lead the planning and asset management services at Mitlin, in addition to focusing on business development.

I am the author of the Amazon best-selling book “Financial Planning Made Personal: How to Create Joy and the Mindset for Success”, which aims to demystify and simplify the financial planning process and inspire people to take charge of their money and their JOY.

I host the Mitlin Money Mindset® podcast, where I interview engaging and entertaining guests who share their insights and stories on cultivating a positive and productive relationship with money.

Additionally, I have been featured on many major news outlets including Yahoo! Finance, Cheddar, and Scripps News and I am a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

I am a huge ice hockey fan and still play, usually in charity games.

I value my family tremendously, and my desire to do right by my wife, Denise, and my sons drives who I am in and out of the office.”

“Outside the office, I am passionate about raising awareness for mental health. I spent more than 12 years on the National Board of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and sit on its financial and investment committees. With my wife, Denise, we have raised more than $1.7 million for the organization through the Keith Milano Memorial Fund. The fund was created at AFSP in memory of my brother-in-law
