past but there's another category besides best-selling author and our guest today just so happens to fall into that category.

What is that category?

Most beautiful author who just so happens to be my bride of 42 years,

Kimberly Hahn, who is with us today to share something

that I have benefited from for all 42 years. And the topic is how to handle finances in marriage.

One of the great stumbling blocks, one of the great challenges has been for us a hurdle that she has consistently helped me to clear.

And so I want to welcome Kimberly Hahn to the Road to Emaeus.

In this episode we're going to look at dealing with debt and balancing the budget, a solidarity

in finances and marriage.

It's based on Proverbs 3111, the heart of her husband trusts in her and he will have no lack of gain.

As we read the rest of the chapter, we pick up on the following ideas related to this verse.

The Proverbs 31 woman is frugal but not stingy.

She cares for her family's needs but is not frivolous. She is generous to the poor,

personally involved in works of charity, as we'll discuss on a later episode.

She shrewd in managing the money, watches her opportunity costs, and there are

opportunity costs to weigh. Related to the challenge of balancing a budget so that a mom could be home, have you as a couple

handled debt.

Financial decisions prior to marriage can contribute to peace later. Did you know that a person cannot enter religious life as long as he or she has remaining debt?
