Summary

In this episode, I talk about how my son inspired me to write a a book especially for dads to read to their kids. As men and dads, most of us are task-oriented and find it hard to put our emotions into words. We feel odd communicating and we don't know if it will resonate with our kids. Many of us work and are gone for the majority of the day. How do we let our kids know how we feel about them and that we are there for them no matter what? Books are a great way to start the conversation, but the majority of books out there are from a mom's perspective. That is why I wrote Daddy Will Always Love and Protect You. 0:53.7	communication and how most of us me included probably me especially there's a lot of
0:59.1	guys probably listening out there they're way better communicators than I am but I've always struggled with this
1:04.7	and not necessarily communication like in the workplace I think we're pretty good
1:09.6	most of us men are really good at tasks, but we're not and actually communicating tasks and
1:15.2	to do's and things that we need to do directives and objectives and goals and all that stuff.
1:20.0	But when it comes to emotions like how we feel about our kids,
1:24.4	especially our kids, how we feel about our wives,
1:26.9	and sometimes it's just hard for us to put our emotions
1:31.0	into words, for several reasons. Number one, sometimes we just don't have the words.
1:36.5	Number two, a lot of us, again me included, we just feel kind of odd doing it sometimes.
1:45.6	And we don't know if what we're going to say even resonates with with our kids especially you know if you're here and you're listening to
