Hello and welcome to the sleepy bookshelf where we put down our worries from the day and pick up a good book.

Last time we were together we completed the story of the wind in the willows.

It was lovely to narrate this charming book following all the woodland creatures by the riverbank.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as me.

Now because this is the sleepy bookshelf and you hope Philly fell asleep before the end of the last episode,

this is a short recap on what she missed.

Warning, this is a spoiler alert. If you haven't finished the book and you don't want to know the ending yet, stop this recap now.

Otherwise, let's get started.

The plan had been set to ambush the weasels at Toad Hall during their celebratory banquet that evening by sneaking in through Badger's secret underground tunnel.

Ratti had gathered together as many sticks and pistols as he could find and equipped his friends with all the weapons they might need.

Making their way down the dark tunnel, they finally reached the hidden entrance up through the floor of the butthless pantry.

Ralker's celebration could be heard above of tiny feet stamping and tiny fists hammering the table and tiny voices shouting and singing in the banqueting hall.

The weasels were making jokes at Toad's expense when the four friends burst through the door.

The hall descended in screams and shrinks as the weasels dove out of the windows and up the chimney in an attempt to escape.

Toad and his comrades quickly cleared the hall with only a few prisoners remaining handcuffed on the floor.

Exhausted but triumphant at Badger's request, Rat and Toad found an abundance of food in the pantry and they sat down to eat.

Badger then asked Mole to send the prisoners upstairs before releasing them out the back door and instruct them to prepare and clean the bedrooms so that they might stay the night.

In the morning, Toad woke very late. His friends were already enjoying the morning and the breakfast was cold.

Badger reminded Toad that a party would be expected of him and to get to work on the invitations.

Imagining a great banquet where he would wax on about his own cunning and bravery in songs and speeches.

Toad wrote all the invitations and included a clear itinerary to accommodate all his conceited ideas.

His invites were apprehended on their way to the post office by Ratty and Badger who gave him a stand talking to that he must turn a new leaf
