I want you to go on a long journey in a sense with me this morning, scripturally speaking.

And I want to begin by reading a portion of the Old Testament.

Turn to Psalm 2.

Psalm 2.

One of the popular realities in our current culture is fantasy, futuristic, speculative fantasy.

The Word of God talks about the future, but it's not fantasy and it's not speculation.

I'm here this morning to tell you the future, the future of the world. As God has revealed it, he

is the creator and the consummator of his creation. In Psalm 2 you hear these words, why are

the nations in an uproar?

And the peoples devising a vain thing.

The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the

Lord and against His anointed, saying, let us tear their fetters apart and cast away

their cords from us.

We're moving inexorably toward a global anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-Scripture, anti-church movement.

It's gathering momentum all the time. And the goal of it is to rip off what sinners
