Got plenty of those out there. And I've got my brides in life. I've got my gripes in college football. But I don't like to do the complainie show. Got plenty of those out there.

But I don't like doing that because I don't like listening to those kinds of shows.

I genuinely like finishing a show and I feel better about the world I live in and the thing I love than when I first got there.

So I, as you may well know by now, am not the biggest fan of the

expanded playoff, but I've tried as far as much as I could to stay on the straight and narrow

and just talk about the here and now. It's a lot of word salad to say I hack and gripe nearly as much

as I should. But the one thing that I want to leave you with

as we open tonight's show is my main point of contention with this thing is not just how big it is,

immunity. My main point of contention is we're in a situation right now, you and I, as we

train headlong into conference championship Saturday and Friday, where a Boise state's only two scenarios are either they don't

make the playoff or they make the playoff and have a first round by. Therein lies every issue,

just at the crux of it, at the very core of it, therein lies every issue I have with this whole thing.

We're jam-packed. We're high atop a frigid, icy, Nashville, Tennessee. Ironically, my number one gripe with our set is how hot it is in here. It's just open a window. We're 14 floors up. etch my college football playoff final prediction in Stone tonight. And I'm doing it voluntarily.

Management has not passed down an edict where I have to do it, but I'm just going to do it.
