Summary

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!

Prepare your snacks accordingly (preferably quiet ones) as Pip runs you through his FILMS OF THE YEAR 2022!

Happy and prosperous new years to you all! All of us here at Distraction Pieces wish you a wonderful year ahead in all of your endeavours. Here's hoping for a positive one in 2023. As tradition dictates, here is Pip to deliver his timely rundown of all of the films he saw in 2022, broken down into a criteria of which he will explain, and with clear parameters and boundaries so all is fair and equal. One thing to point out, as is always necessary with the film lists, is that this list is not your list. When Pip mentions a film he loved, the mention of that film does not magically erase the films you loved, nor shuffle the order around of your own lists (mental or physical). So YES your choices may be different but NO your opinions are still valid. But this is not grounds for debate. This is a perfect chance to start 2023 with a positive perspective - let's celebrate the things that are great and not spend a ton of time breaking down why we didn't like the other stuff. I dunno, let's see. Could be the start of a glorious trend... With that in mind - let Pip take you on a walk through the woods while he talks films at ya. ENJOY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!

0:37.0

A lot of you know, if you've listened before, you'll know my process.

0:43.0

I list every film I see, every new release film I see,

I put a little star by them. And if I think they're going to be a dead surp for my films of the year,

1:00.0

I put two stars by them. I then go through, I look how many one stars I need to upgrade to two stars.

1:49.0

I've not, I've not, they're my films of the year.

1:52.0

If you do your films of the year, don't let anyone tell you you've got them wrong.

1:56.0

It's your films of the year. That's what does me in with people arguing over tier lists on social media.
