Summary

When a violent storm knocks out a remote lighthouse, a repairman is forced to spend the night inside its decaying walls. But as the fog thickens, strange shapes begin to move in the darkness—human-like, but wrong. Footprints lead to the door, objects shift on their own, and footsteps echo up the spiral stairs. Each night, the figures grow bolder, pressing against the windows, lurking in the lantern room above. 0:43.2	let's begin. I was called out to repair the lighthouse on the northern tip of the coast where I live,
1:00.7	after a violent storm had knocked out the light's rotation mechanism.
1:05.1	Normally, I would have finished the job in the day and headed back to town,
1:09.7	but the weather took a turn for the
1:11.0	worst that evening. By late afternoon, heavy fog had rolled in, visibility dropped to practically
1:17.3	nothing, and the Coast Guard radioed that it was too dangerous to leave, which meant that I had
1:24.1	no choice but to stay overnight inside of the lighthouse.
1:33.8	The building itself was old but pretty sturdy, with a metal spiral staircase leading up to the lantern room. I spent the first hour checking the machinery and ensuring everything was functional.
1:40.8	By the time that I finished, the fog had thickened, and the waves were crashing now like angry drums against the rocks below.
1:49.2	That night I noticed movement in the fog outside of the lighthouse windows too.
1:54.3	At first I thought it were sailors, maybe lost at sea, but the shapes were odd.
2:00.6	Human-like, but they didn't move like normal people.
2:04.9	They seemed to sort of like freeze in place on the jagged rocks, then raise their arms as if
2:09.8	signaling. I grabbed my flashlight and climbed down to investigate, but when I got there,
2:16.5	the rocks were empty. Every footprint in the sand that I
2:20.6	thought that I saw as well led directly back to the lighthouse door, as if someone had walked
2:26.6	backward or vanished mid-step almost. I'm really not sure what was happening there, but it was
2:34.0	blowing an absolute gale now and the rain
