Welcome to the Ralph Nader Radio Hour. I'm Steve Scroveen coming to you this week from my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

David Feldman is in New York City and the man of the hour Ralph Nader joins us from

Washington DC. Good morning gentlemen. Good morning Steve and good morning David.

Ralph you wanted to give us a few factoids. Yeah, I thought this would stimulate our listeners

over a broad range and, you know,

we all have to touch a lot of bases

and sometimes if you just touch them lightly,

it gives us a broader view of what's going on right and

wrong in our world.

The good news is that Denmark has initiated a policy whereby it says that by the year 2050 all its energy will be

renewable. No oil, no gas, no coal, no uranium, all renewable energy for electricity, transportation, home heating, lighting,

industrial activity, shopping malls, everything.

Wow.

The question is simply this, if Denmark can do it, why can't we do it?

And it's always good to use comparisons, and I know there's a difference between 5.5 million people in Denmark and a bigger country like ours, etc.

But we don't even have a goal.
