experience, we're not meant to stay there. For the Christian, doubt should push us toward a deeper

trust in God, his word, and his

plan. In short, our struggles with doubt should give way to a more resilient faith. In our interview

today, I'm talking with Glena Marshall about our struggles with doubt and what it looks like

to fight for faith in the midst of them. Glena is a pastor's wife, a mother, and the author of everyday faithfulness,

the beauty of ordinary perseverance in a demanding world from Crossway.

Glena, thank you so much for joining me again on the Crossway podcast. Well, I'm happy to be here.

Yeah, I get to do this in person this time. Yeah, it's fun. Today we're going to talk about doubt

and the struggles that we all at some point in our lives are going to experience when it comes to doubt,

doubting our own salvation, doubting the faith that we have that we believe one moment and then

sometimes the next day we

start to wonder. Have you ever struggled with doubt when it comes to your faith or with the

assurance of salvation? Yeah, definitely with assurance of salvation. I mean, I feel like as a child

being raised in the church, even though I came to faith at a young age, I constantly questioned

if my faith was genuine.

And then as I got older, I would say even like high school, college age,

because I couldn't necessarily remember the day, the week, the moment that I believed in Jesus,

then I struggled to believe that it might have been real.

And I prayed the sinner's prayer so many times.
