California's cannabis market posted the biggest sales drop in legalization history.

0:05.0

That's right. Huge masses of people just quit smoking weed. Not. Everybody, I'm Steve Green with Bill Whittle and Scott Ott. This is Right Angle, brought you by the members of Bill Whittle.com. Gentlemen, there has been a huge drop in California's weed sales, but contrary to the San Francisco

0:22.0

Gate headline that I just read to you, it's the legal cannabis market that's shrinking

0:27.3

faster than ever. That's according to tax data that just came out this week. Also from the

0:32.2

SF gate, they said taxable sales at California's legal cannabis stores amounted to $1.088 billion in the first

1:34.3

weed that people grew to know and love over the years.

1:38.8

And so basically the government has priced the legal business people out of the market. That's right, because

1:45.9

it, you nailed it. It's the regulations that are apparently exceedingly difficult and

1:52.1

expensive to follow and the sales tax. They thought they're going to collect all this tax revenue.

1:56.1

So if you're California and you're a politician, Scott, what do you propose to do about this?

2:02.1

Because you were supposed to collect all this tax revenue.

2:04.0

You want your tax revenue.
