that got so many men through two hilacious world wars is the stuff of repressive cave dwellers.

From public educators to songwriters, we're told that masculine dependability

and stoic resolve is actually toxic. We are told that men should be more like women,

vulnerable, vocal about their anxieties, and quick to throw in the towel when things get hard.

And yet for all that therapy-induced catachesis, the rugged masculine archetype is what really

wins our hearts in the end.

and its very masculine lead character Pete Mitchell.
