It was the kind of case that sends shivers down the spine on September 6, 1988 a wealthy couple Seymour and Arlene Tenglif were brutally attacked in their own home on Long Island, New York

Arlene died immediately

Seymour lingered in a coma for a month and then died the main suspect their 17-year-old son, Marty

Police speculated that the motive was money that Marty in a hurry for his inheritance killed his parents

It's what the police said and what local news reported, but they were all wrong

The real story is a doozy with hitman a business partner who fakes his own death and cops who jumped to conclusions
