He is Mel Kuiper Jr. We have a huge show.

It is mock madness to go along with March Madness. For those that missed

our most recent episode, we broke down Mel's mock 3.0, parts one and parts two are now available

on YouTube. But Mel, it's my turn to get into the hot seat here is I have a two-round

mock draft. We are diving into round one of the

mock draft today. And Mel, you got a sneak peek of this mock before all of America gets to read it

and criticize it. What was your initial thought when you saw my mock draft? You're not a fan of a

running back that I think is one of the best players in this draft. One of the top two was you dropped them a little further than maybe I would have. I thought about where you had him, but I bumped him up a little bit. So if the top player, second best player gets down to this point in the draft, he would qualify. Despite my philosophy, he would still qualify as a steel. Here's a little peek behind the curtains, by the way. Mel actually saved my bacon here. Here's the truth. When you're doing a mock draft, you've got 64 names that you were considering for two rounds, of course. And sometimes what happens is you go through and you realize that you made one error. You gave the Saints back-to-back pass rushers in rounds one and round two. Okay, you want to adjust a couple things here or there.

You start to move players around the board.

It's like a game of battleship of sorts.

It's a puzzle.

It is quite a puzzle here, Mel.

And in doing so, at some point in my puzzle doing, if you will,

I managed to forget a player that absolutely belongs in the top 64 picks. I just realized this 30 seconds ago when Mel told me prior to the show, what happened to my guy? Insert that name here. I am going to go back and make sure that gets corrected. But that is a problem for round two, Mel, because that's where I wanted to have that player at the very top of round two. But without further ado, round one of my two-round mock draft is officially open and the Raiders are on the clock.
