My fiance no longer wants to get married to me until I can prove my faith once and for all is 100% genuine.

And even though he gave me the ultimatum that he wouldn't marry me unless I joined his church,

he is now saying that that is simply not enough and that if I'm not a believer of everything he believes in, then our future marriage is not going to work out.

Here's what happened. I'm a 34 year old female and my fiance is 32 years old. We started

dating in early 2023 and quickly realized that we wanted a future with each

other. In January of 2024 he proposed to me and I said yes because I love him just as he is and I would not change anything about him

We set a date for July of 2024 well with that being said in February he was acting very distant, which is something he has done in the past, so I knew that something was wrong.

He said that it was a problem that I did not belong to his church, and that it would eventually cause confusion for his daughter

if I went to my church. Now I was already questioning if my church was the right one

but I wanted to be sure before I converted to his. Unfortunately he gave me an ultimatum.

If you don't join my church, I cannot marry you.

Now, that did cause me to question what it was that was keeping me from joining,

and I ultimately decided that this was going to be the right decision for me and our family,

especially now that we would have the same faith and help his daughter grow her own faith of her own.

He started to get excited about the wedding, and he went to sign a contract for our reception.

Now no money was put down but it was just a signature.

I had my bridesmaids buy their dresses, I purchased a photographer and scheduled our

engagement session and I

sent it for alterations. Then three days ago on March 15th he said that he

believes I'm only converting for him and that if he didn't give me the ultimatum, I wouldn't have converted, that he does not see that I have the passion to learn more about the faith, and that I'm only doing this because I want to get married so badly.

He believes that if we get married

that I will change my mind and go back to my old church and try to take our future
